Capture the emotion of the new College Football Hall of Famers as they express what it means to be recognized among the greatest coaches and players in the history of the game. Of the 4.92 million individuals who have played college football since Princeton first battled Rutgers on Nov. 6, 1869, only 1,132 champions of the gridiron (930 players and 202 coaches, including the May 7 announcement) have been immortalized in the hall. In other words, only two ten-thousandths of one percent (.0002) of those who have played the game have been deemed worthy of the honor.
The NASDAQ OMX is hosting the event for the fifth consecutive year while XOS Digital is producing the NFF digital broadcasts for the third consecutive year. The Football Writers Association of America is participating as a supporting sponsor.
