The Clark County chapter of the National Football Foundation is dedicated to inspiring young people to academic excellence and keeping amateur football alive. "Building leaders through Football" is our guiding principle.
Since 1993 we have honored those high school seniors from the local high schools in which 34 outstanding young men are honored and 6 are awarded each year a total of $15,000 to assist their college education. To date we have proudly awarded over $250,000 in scholarship monies to football seniors who represent our ideal of the scholar-athlete.
Other awards given out at the annual banquet recognize the "Outstanding contributions to amateur football", The George Luce Evergreen Officials Scholarship Award, The Evergreen officials sportsmanship award, John Hadley Award, as well as honoring those retiring as Head Football Coaches.
The 2011 scholar-athlete banquet was held on January 19th at Hudson Bay High School.
