Sacramento Valley Chapter Scholar-Athletes The Sacramento Valley Chapter is dedicated to the recognition and reward of the excellence of achievement by all participants in football programs at the youth, interscholastic, community college and university levels. We accomplish these goals through chapter activities chaired by our all-volunteer membership and support by our generous sponsors and scholarship donors. Our annual Scholar/Athlete banquet is a major activity of our chapter. This formal event recognizes high school, community college and university players for their achievement on the gridiron and in the classroom. During the past several years we have awarded scholarships in excess of $35,000 at this event. Through our NFL/NFF Coaching Academy program, in cooperation with the Clinic of Champions, we reach 1200 to 1500 coaches annually in their efforts to improve their skills and abilities in teaching football. This event has been enthusiastically received by all those involved and has greatly expanded the awareness and understanding of the National Football Foundation, throughout the western states.
