College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience Debuts New Special Exhibit: Attic Treasures
New exhibit displays a wide range of memorabilia and artifacts that go beyond the typical collection.

Atlanta (July 13, 2017) — Today, The College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience opens a new, limited-time exhibit that showcases unique artifacts that delve deep into the storied history of college football.

“Attic Treasures,” in the Specialty Exhibit delivered by UPS
, displays a wide range of memorabilia and artifacts that go beyond the typical collection. The exhibit features uncommon and unconventional items objects including dirt from the field where the first college football game was played (College Field at Rutgers University, November 6, 1869), a football made entirely of alligator skin produced to commemorate the Gator Bowl and several unique busts to name a few. To College Football Hall of Fame Historian and Curator, Kent Stephens, these items are true treasures of the game. “The pieces in this collection were all donated by players, schools or family members,” said Stephens. “In this exhibit we explore not only the artifact, but the sources and history of each.”

The exhibit is scheduled to open July 13 and is sure to be a new fan favorite. “We always strive to provide engaging content for our guests,” said Dennis Adamovich, CEO of the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience. “The creative display of these hidden treasures provides a unique look in college football’s rich history.”
