IRVING, Texas (Nov. 12, 2015)
– The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today that Casey Wasserman, the founder, chairman and CEO of the Wasserman Media Group, has been named a 2015 inductee into the NFF Leadership Hall of Fame. Wasserman will be honored Nov. 18 during a noon luncheon at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus.

“In an extremely short amount of time, Casey Wasserman has assembled a dynamic team into one of the largest and most powerful sports marketing agencies in the world, and he continues to push the Wasserman Media Group to new heights,” said NFF Chairman Archie Manning. “His leadership abilities represent a similar set of skills learned on the gridiron each year by millions of kids, and we are proud to hold him out as an inspiration for future generations.”

Established in 2013, the NFF Leadership Hall of Fame provides the NFF with a powerful platform for recognizing the country’s most influential individuals who have ascended to the highest levels of success and exhibited the critical leadership qualities that transcend ordinary enterprises. Members of the NFF Leadership Hall of Fame must embody the same qualities in amateur football that define excellence in American life: hard work, discipline, determination, teamwork, integrity and the relentless pursuit to improve.

“Casey Wasserman possesses a keen understanding of leadership, and his vision has enabled him to execute a strategy and create an environment at the Wasserman Media Group that has attracted many of the top athletes from around the world as clients,” said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. “He has extended those leadership skills to his philanthropic efforts as well, and his charitable initiatives have made a profound impact on numerous cultural, education and medical institutions, including his beloved alma mater, UCLA. He is clearly one of the great leaders of our time.”

At the Nov. 18 event, Wasserman’s outstanding record of leadership and many contributions to the sports business world and the community will be highlighted. Wasserman becomes the sixth inductee into the NFF Leadership Hall of Fame, joining New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the father or aerobics Dr. Kenneth Cooper, legendary trial lawyer Joe Jamail, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and sports business executive George Pyne. Each inductee’s accomplishments are enshrined in an exhibit at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta as role models for future generations to emulate.

The luncheon co-chairmen include Archie Manning and NFF Board Member & NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The luncheon vice chairmen include the Saban Charitable Support Fund and the Tull Family Foundation.

Members of the Host Committee include 21st Century Fox; Activision & Bobby Kotick; Ariel Investments & Mellody Hobson; Centerview Partners & Skip Paul; Dreamworks Animation & Jeffrey Katzenberg; Emerson Collective & Laurene Powell Jobs; FOX Sports; GCM Grosvenor & Michael J.
